Garlic Butter Grilled Prawns

A velvety, savoury alternative to your usual protein, but make it classy!

How to make a Garlic Butter Grilled Prawns 

Step 1

Using a sharp knife or scissors, de-vein the prawns by cutting halfway through the prawn from its head to its tail on the back.  


Step 2

Wash them and pat dry with paper towels.


Step 3

Thread one prawn onto each Bamboo Skewer. 


Step 4

Mix the rest of the ingredients together and form garlic butter herb paste. 


Step 5

Using a small spoon, put the garlic butter herb paste onto the split back of the prawns. 


Step 6

Arrange the prawns on a baking tray. Grill them at 180 - 200 oC for about 6 – 7mins until they are cooked. 
These grilled prawns are best eaten while hot with a fresh squeeze of lemon.


  • 500g Prawns HOSO 
  • 3 tbsp Unsalted Butter (Soft at room temperature) 
  • 4 tsp Olive Oil 
  • 20g Fresh Garlic (Minced) 
  • ½ tsp Dried Oregano 
  • 15ml Lemon Juice 
  • Dash Sea Salt & Black Pepper Crushed (to season) 
  • Bamboo Skewers
